ABOUT CAMILLE PICOTT
Camille Picott is a fifth-generation Chinese American. She writes science fiction and fantasy books with Asian characters and/or Asian settings. Camille grew up reading speculative fiction stories largely devoid of Asian characters and culture. This, coupled with a passion for her heritage, is the reason she strives to bring some aspect of Eastern myth, legend, culture, and ethnicity to all of her writings.

WHO IS PIXIU?
Pixiu (pronounced pee-shoo) is the cute little guy in the website banner. He is a creature from Chinese mythology rumored to bring good fortune to businesses.

CAMILLE'S HYBRID WEBSITE
Camille has created a hybrid website that combines the elements of a book blog and writing blog. Reading and writing are integrally intertwined in Camille's life. Melding both elements into a single website seemed only natural. Her book reviews are written from a writer's perspective, with an emphasis on elements of craft found within the books she reads. You can also find updates on her publications, as well as articles on writing and indie publishing.

HELP CAMILLE BUILD HER GOODREADS BOOKSHELF
Camille is in the process of building a library of Asian-influenced speculative fiction novels on Goodreads. Below is a peek at her shelf. Please drop her a note if you know of any books that can be added to the list! She is looking only for YA, MG, and adult books with a speculative element.
