Guest Post on Multiculturalism in YA - Last Stop on the Sulan blog tour

Today is the final day of the Sulan blog tour! I just want to say THANK YOU to all my blog buddies who have tagged along with me on my very first virutal book tour. I really appreciate all your support and kind comments. Overall it's been a very great experience, although I do have to say that it is very different to be on the receiving end of a book review! :) Writing reviews actually helped prepare me for the experience, because I know how hard book bloggers work to be honest and fair in their reviews (myself included). I appreciate everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to read Sulan and participate in the bog tour.

Due to some busy blogger schedules, there are a few pending reviews still out there. They'll probably trickle in over the next 2 - 4 weeks.

And now, onto the very last tour stop: The Write Obsession. Lan and I are pre-occupied with finding YA boosk with multicultural MCs, so we decided that my guest post should center around that theme. In the post, I talk about the different ways I've seen multiculturalism explored in YA speculative fiction. You can read the full article here.

  1. Very nice post! YA fiction in our culture gets whitewashed because of the fear of poor sales. It's sad to admit that it all comes down the publisher's book ledger.

  2. Just stopped over. Nice post. Made me think about how most minority races are not as well represented in young adult books.

    Thanks for stopping by
