Camille Picott has a new home on Blogger - www.camillepicott.com

I feel like a tech rock star. I was able to get this Blogger site set up with a custom domain AND migrate my entire Word Press blog. This is my official new home on the web - www.camillepicott.com. (The various pages are still under construction, but the blog and home page is up and operational.)

So far I really like Blogger. It's made for folks like me who want a decent blog site, but don't have the time/energy/desire to develop HTML or CSS know-how. I've been able to look up tutorials on anything I needed help with.

Anyone looking to migrate a Word Press blog, check out these very easy instructions. Here's the link for the blog converter.

  1. Hey, Camille! Really cool author blog. You should put up a Google Friend Connect gadget on the sidebar for people who like to subscribe that way (hint: me). ;)

Glad your migration went so well.

Oh, yeah, and people kind of dislike Captcha on Blogger comments. Best to disable it!

    1. Oh, nevermind! You do have GFC! It was so far down on the sidebar, I didn't see. Sorry about that...:D

    2. @ Cathy - thanks for stopping by my new blog! And thanks for your advice. I disabled the Captcha -- I didn't even know it was activated, so thanks! They definitely drive me crazy. And thanks for your comment on the Follower gadget - I moved it up. I have to admit, I put it on the bottom because I didn't have any members. :) Thanks for joining my site!

If you have any other comments on my blog, please let me know. :)

  2. I really love your header. Was worried you'd lose it in the move! Normally people move the other way around. From Blogger to Wordpress.Anyway, welcome to your new home. Your followers will start adding up in no time!

    1. @ Lan - Thanks, glad you liked the header! I love pixiu and could not bear to get rid of him! :) I had a great Word Press blog, but my friend built it for me and I could not maintain it on my own. She went back to school so I figured it would be best to find something I could manage on my own. Anyway, thanks for joining me here!
